Anderson Barn

Anderson Barn
20" x 30", oil

This commission piece, was a fun challenge. I've never painted a skeletal barn before, so there were lots of beams to get lost in. Every year we seem to lose more and more of our beautiful barns, I can think of at least three that have gone missing in my area just this year. Another reason to get out and paint them while I can!

Day two of gorgeous, warm, November weather! Those three words don't usually go together in Wisconsin. I tramped across the corn field for a little different view of our neighborhood.

Once Upon A View

The weather all this past fall was ridiculously warm--so I had no excuse for not getting out to do some plein air painting. For this view of Red Cedar Lake I stood on the corner of a very old concrete foundation. If that spot was once upon-a-time someone's cabin, they sure had a perfect view of the lake.

This was my demo during the Fall Art Tour this year. I was so busy with visitors coming thru my studio that it took two days to finish!
