Bright Day Barn

Barns like this are so fun to paint–Red Barn, Green Grass, Blue Sky. RGB pretty much covers the gamut.

Daisy Day

Every once in awhile I force myself to paint some flowers. I always find it daunting when faced with a subject that is already inherently beautiful–I mean, what can I really add? Give me some old dead weeds near a mucky corn field any day!

Barn View

This is from a photo taken near Rodger’s pond. There seems to be a painting everywhere you turn on his property.

Wade House Team

Every spring I seem to get a bad case of horse fever. Since I lack any riding opportunities, I had to medicate myself by painting these two carriage horses from the Wade House Historic Site.

Winterscape

This is one of the fishing ponds in Cambridge–great place to walk the dogs.

Winter Channel

Another older photo, just love those blue and gold colors.

Field Thaw

Field Thaw
9″ x 12″, oil

This is one that I’ve been thinking of doing for probably about 3 years. Just one of those photos I kept passing over. I remember the colors were amazing that day–the sky reflecting in a pool of melted snow, the golds and browns of the dry wheat field. Just lovely.

Egret Up

I caught a photo of this guy while out canoeing. I need to get more egret photos, so I can do a series–this was a fun one.
